Thanksgiving Break Wrap-Up

Thanksgiving Break Wrap-Up
Welcome back! We pray that you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving break and had some delicious food to accompany. Before the break our students were focused on wrapping things up the Gerard Prep way! In math our students are working on shape knowledge, expanding their shape recognition to squares, triangles, rectangles, circles, ovals, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, and even decagons! We will now be focusing on cones, cubes, spheres, and cylinders. The activity listed below allowed our students to create shapes with popsicles sticks, which helps their memory as well as the visual learners.

Students in group 2 (older students) completed their science tests before the break, which covered oceans, continents, layers of the earth, and general knowledge about each topic. The science test grades will go home next Monday in Monday Folders. Our students will now be introduced into the SOLAR SYSTEM. We will be focusing on each planet, fun facts, and expanding our ocean knowledge.
